Dogs at The Old PlaceJimani Kennels is located on our 275 acre ranch in the southwest corner of Arkansas where we raise Cutting horses and Corriente cattle. My husband and I both have degrees in Animal Science.  My husband has a PhD from Texas A & M and has been the founder and director of leading university horse programs across the United States.  I, also, have taught at various universities and my interests include animal behavior as well as breeding and management of horses and dogs.

We have a long history in breeding animals.  We have breed horses and dogs together since the 1970's.  Our life long interest in raising good dogs also started in the 1970's with the English Shepherd.

In the 1980, we began a quest to create small beagles known today as the Pocket Beagle.  The lastest additions to our breeding program is the Pocket Puggle. English Shepherd and pug Puppies

Our puppies spend a lot of time running around the ranch, developing into well adjusted little dogs.  They are exposed to cows, calves, horses and other bigger dogs.  They splash through water holes, run through cow poo, and play in the brush and fields and woods that surround the barns and house.

"It takes a village "to raise a  well adjusted puppy.  Our English Shepherds, Puggle and Beagles are all involved in the raising of the Puppies.  We pride ourselves on the development of happy, intelligent puppies who will be a special addition to their new families.
